The Alexia Foundation promotes the power of photojournalism to give voice to social injustice and is committed to supporting photojournalism on academic and professional levels.
The foundation was founded in honor of Alexia Tsairis, a Newhouse School of Public Communications student at Syracuse University, who was one of 270 people killed in a terrorist bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland, 30 years ago.
