Madeleine Albright on the Threat of Fascism (Rescheduled) @ Walter and Leonore Annenberg Theater
Due to inclement weather forecast, this event was rescheduled from Jan. 29. Current registrations will be honored.

Former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright talks about her new book, “Fascism: A Warning,” which provides a personal and urgent examination of fascism in the 20th century and how its legacy shapes today’s world.

Given the horrors of clashes between democracy and fascism in the last century, one might expect the world to reject Hitler and Mussolini successors should they arise. In the book, Albright draws on her experiences as a child in war-torn Europe and her distinguished career as a diplomat to question that assumption.

In 1997, Albright was named the first female Secretary of State and became, at that time, the highest-ranking woman in the history of the U.S. government. She is currently chair of the global strategy firm, Albright Stonebridge Group.

We will no longer be hosting a VIP reception. We apologize for any inconvenience. All guests should enter the Newseum through the C Street entrance. You will not be able to access the event through any other entrance. Doors will open at 12:30 p.m.
