Each year, the Newseum rededicates its Journalists Memorial in recognition of the dangers in the profession of journalism and those who have died in pursuit of news and information. This year’s ceremony recognizes 20 journalists who represent those who died in 2015.
Gérard Araud, ambassador of France to the United States, will deliver keynote remarks during the ceremony. The largest single attack on journalists in 2015 took place at the offices of the French satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo in Paris.
Seating is on a space-available basis.
