The New York Times–Ochs-Sulzberger Family Great Hall

Permanent | Level 1

This soaring, 90-foot-high atrium showcases the power of free expression as is intended in the First Amendment. A 40-foot-by-22-foot high-definition screen highlights the mission of the Newseum, while the latest headlines are continuously updated on two electronic news zippers. Suspended from above are a satellite replica and a Bell helicopter, two icons that represent the history of communication.
